Deurali Bhanjyang Hike

Another inspiring day, nothing in any world can be conceived. No description of an adventure that I did in the bountiful of wilderness. How majestic and wild is the mountainside and with what wild lavishness is beauty and thus multiplied! At the end of the year 2077 BS, I felt stagnated at home. In order to rejuvenate myself, I went on a painful new year day hike to a place where my freedom usually calls. Yes, I am one of the mountain goers.  With traveler at heart, I followed the same native trials which I usually follow to get the southern end of the Kathmandu valley. However, with no pain no gain feeling, I pushed my limit to get to the top of the mountain on this hike. A few years back, I planned to hike this mountainside, situated at 2000m elevation. I once tried to attempt it too. Due to wild surroundings, I had to return back from the middle of the mountain. And because of the covid-19 outbreak last year, I didn't want to travel alone. Whatsoever, on the first day of t...

Learn To Live Again

It's not far away, it's not far at all The mountainsides we dreamt of-- A kind of invitation, so pure and divine. For fate was on our side Together we walk as one On the beckoning mountains Filled with lush full of green love. We feel the warmth of the foothills As we want to climb the lap of the beloved mother We free our head, so calm and quiet Under the sacred fig tree, shaded and dusky With all honesty, we take a deep breath, in and out. Far from home, we walk on the wild side With careful heart to ease our mind. Along the long and winding roads, We hear the birds singing On the mossy banks of a wandering stream, rippling even burbling. And see wildflowers appealing butterflies, lively and vibrant. As we dive into the forest, where colors came to life We come to comprehend mindfully that Time is all we have and the life is now. With fire in our bones, we sit on the top of an ancient mountain, From where the valley seems lost with the cloud of its own. We feel at home in th...

I Took A Little Journey To The Unknown

I Took A Little Journey To The Unknown Today, I stretched my legs and went on a hike. I took a winding path Gallivanting solo as The Sun. All of a sudden I spied the Loveliness of The Wild... Lofty mountains of lush trees. I crossed the river as it runs.

Tangible Contact with Nature

"Birds singing on the banks of the narrow streams, trees smell, branches creaking, insects humming, feet shuffling through needle-like road, animal scents, earthy smell..." Tangible contact with nature: it is not about fabricating proficiency, it is all about courage, patience, challenge and enigma. Experiencing wild nature is powerful incentive for me to learn new things now. Being alone in the profound forest, being all alone at the edge of the mountain can set us off on the path that changes the way we think ourselves, our purpose in life, and the way we live our lives. Nature brought me into direct contact with the elements-earth, air, water, and water. It unclothes the means we have developed to protect ourselves from their impact. It ameliorates my strength, confidence and self-determination. Hiking the mountains has become favorite thing for me now. I solely hike alone and I like it the most. Its an opportunity to ...

Out of Doors

To walk in the woods is to celebrate our evolutionary heritages as they stimulate our thinking. They deepen our understanding and we should appreciate them for that. Moreover, walk in the woods plays a significant role as it encapsulates our struggles that one need to go through in order to better themselves. Spending time in the woods isn't just pleasant, it is significantly restorative. If you back in history, then you would understand how important is walking!? Our forefathers used to walk for days to get basic needs. They used to walk for days to get education. They used to walk for days carrying sick people to the health post. Now, freedom from walking has been craved. Only few unfortunate ones are forced to walk. The history of walking is now paradox. It is so called an integral to human development. The walking habit is ceased abruptly. Walking is an analog in this digital world. However, it is more profound too. People choose to ...
